Does anyone know what today is? Christmas Day! It's finally here! I'm excited, as you can tell, but one way for my thoughts to be refocused on the Reason for the Season is through this verse:
"Every good and perfect gift is from above."
James 1:17
It helps me realize the blessing I have to celebrate Christmas with food, gifts, decor, movies, etc. Happy birthday, Jesus!
I am a book-worm for life. I mean, I LOVE books! So, here's my space to get creative, and have fun with my virtual journal.

Thanksgiving Escape Room
Is anyone wondering how my escape room went? Well I will tell you! We started in our living room where my sister set up the clues and I set up the clues in our kitchen so that we could both play.
Then we found this clue behind the clock corresponding to the riddle. (Image below)
With the clues above we cracked the code which spelled Big Pumpkin. So of course, we went over to our big pumpkin decoration and underneath was this clue. (Image below)
Our next step was solving this riddle, which we found to mean a chair and we went over to one of our chairs, finding this. (Image below)
Now we could go into the kitchen (the room that I set up with clues) and my sister played this round instead of me. This was the starting clue. (Image below)
Everyone easily found this to be a backwards image of Wine Bottle, so they went to our wine bottle rack which holds only empty bottles. Then they found this clue inside of one. (2 Images below for the front and back.)
(I know that the image is fuzzy, so I'll just tell you what it says. It was a Thanksgiving Trivia that then with those answers, forms a word that would correspond to the foam cup safe.)
This is the foam cup safe which holds the last clue. (Image below)
(I know that it is fuzzy, but the letters on the foam cup safe would have to be aligned to make the certain word.)
Anyways, my family solved the Trivia and found the word Thankful pretty quickly. Then they got to lift up the cups to read the last thing. (Sorry I forgot to take this parts picture so I'll just tell you that it said that You and your family have officially made your way out, using all of your Thanksgiving knowledge! You slowly approached the Pilgrims and explained that you are here in peace to celebrate with them. They invite you over to the tables and you sit down to eat with your family. You begin to realize how thankful you are for your normal life and suddenly all of you get whisked back to your table in 2019. Everyone smiles and continues eating, knowing just how Thankful you truly are.
The End
I think that we did a pretty good job and had plenty of fun with our escape room. Maybe you should try it. ๐ Bye for now!

Our Fall Festival Experiance.
My family and I recently went to a trunk or treat! I dressed up as a frog, while my sister chose to be a fox. It was fun to go to a Fall Festival, even with the rain. There had been a petting zoo there and I loved petting the goats. There were also some bunnies and geese. After being loaded up with plenty of candy and having seen the cute trunks, we left, satisfied with our hour of fun together. Sometimes simple things going slightly wrong (like rain) can be the best memories. ☺

New recipe
Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar
½ cup milk
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup creamy peanut butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
3 cups quick oats
Instructions
Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside.
Place the butter, granulated sugar, milk, and cocoa powder in a medium saucepan. Over medium heat, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Once the mixture is at a rolling boil, boiling around the edges and in the middle, boil for one minute.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the peanut butter, vanilla, and salt. Stir until peanut butter is melted and smooth. Stir in the oats.
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture (about 2 tablespoons per cookie) onto the prepared baking sheets, and let sit at room temperature until cooled and hardened, about 20 to 30 minutes. Store the cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 to 4 days on the counter or in the fridge. Enjoy!!!!

Zucchini Ravioli!
I made zucchini ravioli a week ago and it was better than I expected it to be. The link below is the recipe we used from Pinterest. By the way, it is SUPER hot (not spicy) so watch out. I burned my tongue that day. The ingredients include 4 zucchinis for four people, ricotta cheese, and marinara sauce, along with some spices that you can find in the link. My dad was very hesitant to try it, but it didn't seem like he disliked it THAT much. So if you decide to give this vegetarian option a try, enjoy!https://www.pinterest.com/pin/515240013617576393/?lp=true

The Holy Land Experience
Guess where I went on the thirty-first of January?! The Holy Land Experience for their free day! It was really fun once we got in, since we had to wait in a SUPER long line; we had to wait in line for four hours. We got in at 5 pm, so we only had a little time for the end-of-the-day scheduled activities and performances. We got to listen to the presentation of the mini Jerusalem exhibit and watch a short play. We went to the gift shop, and we saw these awesome purses that were painted leather with crosses on them!! They were more expensive for a purse than I was willing to pay, though. If we go there again I might reconsider.
Talk to you soon!
